What is Studienkolleg?

Studienkolleg in Germany is a preparatory college, also known elsewhere as a foundation year, which serves as a bridge between high school and the university. In the Studienkolleg, students get to learn the German language as well as subjects related to their respective desired course.

At Studienkolleg Germany, applicants have the opportunity to choose one of the following Studienkolleg courses:

  • T-Course: for engineering, mathematical or natural sciences fields
  • W-Course: for business, economics, or social sciences fields
  • M-Course: for medical, biological or pharmaceutical fields

Other Studienkolleg courses that are not currently offered by us:

  • G-Course: for humanities and cultural sciences fields
  • S-Course: for linguistic and history fields

The goal of the Studienkolleg is not only to acquire technical, language and methodological prerequisites, but also to introduce the cultural and social aspects required for studying in Germany. Studienkolleg will prepare the student specifically for the “Feststellungsprüfung” (FSP), which is an assessment test to determine whether a student is eligible to study in Germany.
